COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLEEVE
Rather than a story ended, Dick Heckstall-Smith's debut album was in some ways a continuation of the stories written by his previous bands Colosseum and the Graham Bond Organisation.
And it sounds like a slightly heavier, slightly jazzier Colosseum.
Recorded with the assistance of several of his past associates from those two groundbreaking British blues-rock-jazz groups, including Mark Clarke, Dave Greenslade, Chris Farlowe, and Jon Hiseman (who both played drums and produced) of the just-disbanded Colosseum, as well as Graham Bond.
Pete Brown, who'd worked with several of the musicians who sprang from the Graham Bond Organisation crowd, co-wrote most of the songs with Heckstall-Smith; Chris Spedding and famed Elton John sideman Caleb Quaye contributed guitar.

LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, factory-fresh and unmarked labels with just one light spindle per side
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces shine like-new
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Crystal clear, deep, rich and strong sound with complex rock/prog jazz arrangements - plays beautifully with nothing but a couple of light ticks but I did not clean this copy as it looks so immaculate so these will no doubt disappear after a clean/few spins - nothing really
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The fully laminated and deeply glossy sleeve is clean, sharp and fresh with no real wear to speak of
INNER SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
Some signs of handling - no seam splits
