I have this for sale locally, if the auction ends before schedule without any bids, it is because it got sold-once a bid is placed I will no longer be offering it locally, and then it's absolutely yours if you are the lucky winning bidder! Here is a beautiful and interesting piece, it also happens to be quite nice. Rare Germany issue "Die Beatles" from unmolested UK tube masters! Felt to be the reference copy for this album for great sound. Search the net for yourself, this is the one! The Lp here is in my personal collection, in archival storage, when have you ever seen one! This is a hard to find item, particularly this matrix. These were cut from old school Parlophone tube masters & are highly sought after by collectors. Apparently this one is the one people want because of the info in the dead wax, please see the photo, label close ups etc... Second press (=this record) matrix number: SHZE 117-A-2 SHZE 117-B-2
These pressings (matrix suffixed with "2") sourced copies of the original UK stereo masters without EQ or compression. The UK Parlophone pressings also used copies of the masters as they were sourced there, but from EQ'd and compressed LP masters, making this the closest thing to the master that there is. (I researched the web and found this in several areas, I really knew very little about Germany issued Beatles Lp's. They issued these out of sequence too, With The Beatles got released there first. Lots of you probably knew that. ). As I get older I am downsizing and so here is your chance to get a sweet Lp. The Lp is a strong VG to VG+, really nice gloss and overall appearance, this is really cool piece of history! It has very full presence in terms of the sound, clean highs, nice bass response, very nice shiny appearance, severe old school stereo separation just as it should be! It isn't easy to find something as old as this in terms of a Beatles Lp that plays this nicely. The cover is VG- with splits at the binding center and a smaller one bottom center, some discoloration, laminated front however so that cover graphic still looks nice. Correct color innersleeve too, quite split but it looks really nice (I have the Lp in a generic sleeve now). All Lp's are not stored inside the covers in my collection to best preserve them. I have really enjoyed these Lp's and I hope you do too. This piece is a rarity.
Vinyl has a uniquely awesome sound - if you grew up in the US in the 60's or 70's you know the difference. Please note, LP's are not cd's, expect some background noise and occasional pops, even repeated pops from little scratches that may be hard to detect, it's normal for LP's to have these qualities. I have some other Beatles Lps listed too, I will only add 1.00 shipping to each additional one if you win more than 1 Lp. Wait for the invoice before paying if you plan to take more than 1. USA bidders only please, no exceptions. Shipping is Media insured, priority will be an extra 3 dollars, worth it & strongly recommended, but it's your call, so please let me know.
