Fantastic ultimate upgrade, possibly totally unplayed over the counter condition!

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by DIO called "HOLY DIVER" and is an ORIGINAL 1983 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press VERTIGO label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!   JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1983 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS AS MOST PEOPLE WOULD OPT FOR THE  CD VERSION, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY AS A FIRST PRESS PROPER!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  The original photo inner sleeve is also present. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1983 UK VERTIGO 1ST PRESSING! 

This auction is for the incredibly hard to find second DIO album "HOLY DIVER" issued in 1983. This is a bit special really as the condition of this album is in one word "fabulous". This will be an upgrade for most discerning collectors and does not show up very often in this collectible investment grade condition!!

THE ORANGE VERTIGO LABELS ARE IN  MINT CONDITION. A SOLID BASE COLOUR THAT IS FREE FROM ANY MARKS OR STAINS. FULLY RUNNING UNINTERRUPTED INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE. THE BLACK TYPEFACE AND WHITE LOGO'S ARE ALL UNRUBBED AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE.

THE SPINDLE HOLE IS TOTALLY UNWORN AND THERE ARE ZERO SPIDER LINES AROUND THE HOLE SHOWING JUST HOW LITTLE THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN NEAR A TURNTABLE.

THE VINYL

THE VINYL ABSOLUTELY GLEAMS LIKE A POLISHED MIRROR. THE SHEEN IS FLAWLESS AND IN DAYLIGHT IT IS TOTALLY MINT, AND EVEN WHEN PLACED UNDER INTENSE ILLUMINATION THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE. THIS IS A TRULY MINT DISC IN EVERY WAY

PLAYING THE RECORD

THE VINYL PLAYS WITHOUT ANY DISTORTION TO THE SOUND WHATSOEVER.

THERE IS NO BACKGROUND CRACKLE AND CERTAINLY NO LOUD CLICKS ANYWHERE

NO EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE AND ONLY A SPECK OF STATIC IN BETWEEN A COUPLE OF LINKING GROOVES

I CAN'T EVEN SAY THAT I HEARD ANY DUST POPS THROUGH THE ENTIRE PLAYTHROUGH

I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO GRADE THIS PLAYTHROUGH AS NM !!!

THE SLEEVE

SEMI LAMINATED VERTIGO PHONOGRAM SINGLE SLEEVE

THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT AND CLEAN AND FREE FROM ANY HEAVY CREASES OR DEEP CREASE LINES.THE SHEEN IS JUST MAGNIFICENT AND LOOKS SUPERB. ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN HANDLED THIS IS STILL IN SUPER CONDITION.

THE  COLOUR IS ALSO IN PRISTINE UNRUBBED CONDITION, AND THIS IS PRETTY UNUSUAL FOR THIS SLEEVE

THE SPINE IS 100%!!!

THERE ARE JUST TWO TINY IMPRESSIONS CLOSE TO THE OPENING TOP.

THERE IS NO RING WEAR AND JUST THE BAREST SHADOW OF RECORD IMPRESSION

THE TOP LEFT CORNER TIP HAS A SMALL DING TO IT

NO STORAGE WEAR. THE TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES ARE BOTH IN MINT CONDITION WITH ALL OF THE DELICATE MULTI COLOURED SURFACE FULLY RUNNING FROM CORNER TO CORNER, AND EVEN THE TIPS REMAIN UNRUBBED. 

THE SPINE IS 100% FLAT AND TOTALLY UNSQUASHED.THERE ARE TWO TINY FINGER TO THUMB IMPRESSIONS .THE RED TYPEFACE IS ALL PERFECTLY LEGIBLE AND PRISTINE.

THE OPENING EDGE IS CRISP

THE REAR SURFACE HAD FOUR SMALL LINES NEAR THE SPINE AND A THIN CREASE LINE RUNNING ACROSS THE TOP RIGHT CORNER 

THE PICTURE INNER SLEEVE IS THE CORRECT ONE FOR THIS FIRST PRESS AND IS ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE. 

Vinyl: EX+ to NM. They don't come any better than this unless you can travel back in time to the pressing plant. This vinyl has barely been played and is possibly unplayed. It has no marks and just a couple of wispy paper sleeve removal traces only visible under a strong light. NO SPINDLE TRACES!! On replay it only gets better. Great strong stereo separation with near silent (no crackle etc.) replay. So much better than the CD! Needless to say this vinyl has no problems at all. NO jumps, NO skips, NO sticks etc.

Sleeve: EX+. Again this has to be seen to be believed. A properly looked after sleeve without any storage wear. On first sight this looks like it came just from the printers. A splendid overall condition of this sleeve which also benefits a beautiful crisp opening and spine which has 100% perfect lettering making it a first press proper. This sleeve has no creases at all to the front and just one tiny one on the back on the opening edge!! There is nothing untoward like writing or stains. A top notch investment grade sleeve. It is the sleeve WITHOUT the barcode, making it the first sleeve proper. NO splits NO stains etc.

This has the original photo inner sleeve in EX condition.  Again this was only present with the first press.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
