Description

  • Dire Straits released their fourth studio album "Love Over Gold" in September 1982 on Warner Bros. Records. It contains the hit single "Industrial Disease" and was No. 1 on the charts all over the world although it only made the Top 20 in America.

  • This promo copy of (9 23728-1) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is easily VG+ as is the Inner Lyrics Sleeve. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Bob Ludwig and Bill Kipper at Masterdisk in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Side One dead wax is etched 1-2?-23728-A-SH5 #1 + SLM 0 ?2142. Only Side 2 is additionally stamped with Masterdisk and etched BK.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 39 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
