DISC Records, Album John Kirby & Orchestra 3, 78 rpm records, Cover art by David Stone Martin.
CONDITION: The album is excellent structurally. Good binding and no tears. About 1/2 inch down along the top front has been sunned with consequent fading to the deep pink there. There is some slight soiling on the right side and toward the middle bottom. The bottom corner is only slightly bumped. But that's all. The David Stone Martin imagery is great.
I cannot play the records and prefer not to for fear of damaging them. With the exception of one side of one I can see no evidence of scuffs and or scratches and I believe that they have been played only minimally, if at all. Interestingly enough the cut called "Campus" has a couple of issues. There's an approximately 1/2" long scratch close to the end of the record that runs in the direction of the grooves and a lighter one close to the other edge. But other than that even this side seems little played.
There was dust accumulation on the top of the closed album. I have not cleaned these records other than to lightly dust off the dust with a very slightly damp paper towel.
The sleeves are in what I would call new condition, another piece of evidence suggesting that the album was not much handled.
