Few jazz records on the planet can match the transparency of this one. Produced by Discwasher back during hi-fi’s renaissance in the ‘70s, INTENSIVE CARE features the talents of Paul Smith on piano, Ray Brown on bass, and Louis Bellson on drums.
Right from the first note, any listener becomes aware of incredibly accurate “in your room” presence, the sound so crystalline and “pure,” as the group delivers THE LADY IS A TRAMP, ON A CLEAR DAY, SURREY WITH THE FRINGE ON TOP, MY HEART STOOD STILL, and CHICAGO, among others.
From the audiophile LP Hall of Fame, here in a cover without fault; Japanese pressing within will play near mint.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
