- Titles are ‘Cho-King’ b/w ‘St Louis Blues' - excellent band led by Sonny Clay and in wonderful condition................................................................The Dixie Serenaders was the band that Sonny Clay assembled after he returned from Australia in 1928. Notes from the recording session indicate that the band was called Sonny Clay's Hartford Ballroom Orchestra at the time of this recording. Most discographies say that these recordings were made in 1931, but Sonny Clay insisted that they were recorded in 1929...............................thanks as always to www.redhotjazz.com
