released 1968 by Verve # V6-8762
rare original yellow label promotional copy
in stereo and also features special Dj sticker on cover
and includes stellar versions of great songs
played by killer jazz players
this record is in excellent condition (although
the cover does have some wear as it was a Dj copy )
but the vinyl looks as if it was hardly played

~ condition ~
record is in excellent condition and has
been fully play tested and it sounds great with
just light crackle in a few spots and the vinyl is
shiny & clean with only very slight wear
the labels are bright and clean
cover is in very good condition with bold bright
printing and has no seam splits but there are some
radio station and promo stickers / stamps on the
cover and the front cover has one small spot where
a sticker must've been removed and has torn off
a small part of the printing on the cover and
there is also some wear around the edges

~ review ~
along with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer
of the period Jack DeJohnette (just prior to him joining
Miles Davis) Bill Evans is in excellent form on this
well-rounded album with Evans performing two of his
originals (including "One for Helen" which was dedicated
to his longtime manager Helen Keane), Denny Zeitlin's
"Quiet Now" and Earl Zindars' "Mother of Earl" and a few
of his favorite standards that are generally ballads and
harmonically rich. The interplay between Evans and Gomez
was growing month-by-month (the bassist had been with
him for almost two years at this point) and is the main
reason to acquire this disc ~ but Jack DeJohnette
does offer some stimulating support as well
