*1st Original Japanese pressing that was privately released in Japan only 2 LP set, released in 1979.
Some words on this issue: BAILEY, DEREK: “New Sights, Old Sounds” (Morgue 03/04) Perhaps this disc is one of the hardest to get out of the Bailey catalogue since the 2LP set was released on Aquirax Aida’s private Morgue imprint after the latter had invited Bailey to come to Japan and teamed him up with various players out of the Japanese free jazz underground. The disc itself has been out of print since 1979 and is particularly hard to come by especially in such as pristine condition as this copy here. The music is stellar as might be expected and sees Bailey recording solo in the studio while the second disc juxtaposes these recordings with him playing live.
