HERE'S a surprisingly hot record by THE IPANA TROUBADOURS: "DO YOU? THAT'S ALL I WANT TO KNOW" and "GLORIANNA."
Both sides are the ultimate in late '20s peppy / hot dance band music. They kick firmly over into the jazz realm on "Do You," when BENNY GOODMAN (clarinet) turns up for a full chorus, and TOMMY DORSEY (trombone) for half. Sweet! This is really a gem of a record.
This original 1928 "Viva-Tonal" Columbia 1638-D is in lovely EE+ condition.
