SIDE ONE: How Do You Fall In Love Again, Don't Ask Me To Say I Love You, All About You, The State I'm In, Unconscious Boy, Can't Get You Out of my Head

SIDE TWO: Heroine, Dole Hero, Girl In Black, Wired And Wide Awake!, (The Original) Unconscious Boy

The band originally started in late 1982 as the Bordello Boys with Robert Stoddard (aka Ned Christie) as lead singer. Stoddard being responsible for the band's name and co-writing many of the early songs with Tyla. Two separate recording sessions were recorded during this era of the band. On the strength on the 2nd session, the Dogs D'Amour were contracted to Kumibeat Records of Finland.

A short time before the band were scheduled to record their debut album, Ned quit the band over musical differences with Tyla. Tyla took over on lead vocals and "The State We're In" was recorded in early 1984.

Although not as commercial as their later glam/blues/punk hybrid offerings, the original Finnish album would make a welcome addition to any Dog's collection.
