DON PATTERSON – ON HAPPY DAY – PRESITGE 7640 – DISKMAKERS TEST PRESSING – M-/M- - STEREO
This session was recorded at Van Gelder’s studio on June 2, 1969 and features Don Paterson on organ, Virgil Jones on trumpet, George Coleman and Houston Person on tenors and Frankie Jones on drums. SIDE A: OH HAPPY DAY; PERDIDO and GOOD TIME THEME. SIDE B: HIP TRIP and BLUE ‘N’ BOOGIE. This is a Diskmakers test pressing of that session. The name “VAN GELDER” is stamped in the blank vinyl on both sides of the LP. This is a STEREO recording.
I have graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is completely clean of any marks on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket is in near mint condition, with no sign of wear.
