Gleaming full gloss vinyl is Pristine, Like New on Side One. a single very faint hairline at beginning of Side Two; otherwise NM.

COVER is VG+
Clean, bright white stock cover with front and back paste-on art / info; one small mild crease front u.l. and small light age spotting, mostly at edges of paste-on sheet. Lightly bumped l.l. corner-tip. No discernible surface wear, no other creases, writing soil or other marks. Seams and spine completely intact with no splits.

Even the officially released issue (with different cover) is extremely scarce these days. This white cover, pre-release advance issue is near-impossible to find, especially in such prime condition.
This was Slepian's first Vinyl LP - self-released. He had a small handful (4) previous cassette-only albums, all on the PLUMERIA LABEL, which he eventually returned to for his later LPs and CDs - leaving COMPUTER DON'T BREAKDOWN as the only Vinyl LP ever released on "DON & JUDY Records".

DON SLEPIAN combines unique skills in music and electronics with a lifetime of improvised keyboard music performance, performing on computer instruments of his own design.

Born into a scientific family, Slepian showed both musical and technical talent early in life. In 1968, he programmed computers and built electronic music circuitry, sculpting sound with classic electronic music studio tape techniques. Starting in 1972, he was a tester on the early internet as a member of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). While being a Synthesizer Soloist(!) with the Honolulu Symphony, he was also Music Director for Honolulu Theater For Youth, and ARP Synthesizer Sales Rep for Hawaii at the time.

COMPUTER DON’T BREAKDOWN was created and realized in 1980-81 while Slepian was an undergraduate Music student at Dreyfuss College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison NJ

As a true pioneer in electronic music, he was presented by WNYC's “New Sounds” show in New York's Lincoln Center, by the French Ministry of Culture for a week-long residency at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and by the Karen Baptist Church for performances in the refugee camps at the border of Burma and Thailand. He streams webcasts from his studio in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend
who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
We had very similar tastes - so numerous prime duplicates are being listed.
