Description
Original 1960 release of Donald Byrd's FUEGO in mono. The labels both have the W 63rd address, and deep grooves, with the Plastylite P or "EAR" and RVG in the runout.
Cover condition is VG++. Light soiling to back cover and spine, but no splits or ring wear and the front photo is almost perfect. There is a bit of a wrinkle in the upper left quarter.
Vinyl condition VG to VG+. Sheen is great, and the labels are nice. There are scratches on side 1 track 1 that may produce an audible tick on some revolutions in quiet passage-which there aren't many of on this album. There is a lighter and inaudible scratch on track 3. Side 2 also has a track 1 scratch that while not deep, may occasionally have an audible tick. Track 2 has a lighter scratch that doesn't affect play. All in all, it is a very nice LP. I am a would be audiophile and collector myself, and tend to grade conservatively. The ticks that may be heard aren't overpowering or distracting. See the photographs for detail.
