Donizetti's Lucia Di Lammermoor conducted by Tullio Serafin and featuring the incomparable Maria Callas with iconic sleeve portraits.

Artists: Maria Callas as Lucia, Ferrucio Tagliavini as Edgardo, Piero Cappuccilli as Enrico Asthon, Bernard Ladysz as Raimondo, Leanard Del Ferro as Arturo, Margreta Elkins as Alisa, Renzo Casalleto as Normanno, with Tullio Serafin conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Philharmonia Chorus and Roberto Benaglio as chorus master.

Label : Columbia (Mono) Blue/Gold record numbers 33CX 1723/4

Condition Vinyl - Excellent + all four sides (only the faintest wispy sleeve removal marks seen under bright angled light. All four sides retain a lovely sheen and the labels are pristine with no spindle wear/marks.)

Condition Covers - The first cover '1723' is in Excellent condition. Only slight age marks on the unlaminated rear. The spine is solid with all writing fully legible.

The second cover '1724' is Very Good +. Please see photo scans, there is slight damage to rear bottom left corner of the flipback which I'm sure can be repaired if required. Also the unlaminated rear shows some slight ring wear marks and the top left front corner is bumped. The spine is solid and all writing is fully legible.

The two original 'Emitex' inners are in Excellent condition

Overall this is a fine set and the faults indicated do not detract from the iconic cover portraits of Maria Callas.
