M- = Record has been played but shows no scratches or scuffs. Plays perfectly!

EX = Excellent. Intermediate grade between M and VG. A well cared-for record. Excellent play, may have light scuff / scratch visible.

VG+ = May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play very well, with only low level crackles or pops.

VG = May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but not more loudly than the music being listened to.

VG- = May have continuous low level crackles, pops, etc., or moments of distortion during loud sections, but not so loud as to make the music completely unlistenable or unenjoyable to the casual listener. Might also have "nasty little scratch" causing popping on one or two more songs.
