Description
An original US 1966 1st stereo press copy of Donovan’s third album- Sunshine Superman - complete with funky psychedelic cover.
This was not released in the UK at the time due to contractual issues so a first press copy here is a rare find.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotless and glossy with some visible scuffs, hairlines and marks but no feelable damage.
The labels and spindle holes are clean with a few light spindle trails. I have graded VG+.
Playback reveals a warm stereo sound with good separation and dynamics. An enjoyable nostalgic pop album from a unique artist.
The record plays through well with light background noise in places and on the run in but nothing unusual for 58 year old vinyl! No jumping or sticking.
The cardboard sleeve is lovely and colourful for its age with no splits to the seams, light surface wear to the lower front, and a name stamped on
the rear.Spine still fully readable. No stains, tape or tears.
The paper inner sleeve is still present, however we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep the record pristine after cleaning- you will receive both.
A lovely original copy, fully cleaned and tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable and enjoy.
