Description
An hour ago, I found Donovan in decent condition to a regular shoppers eye. It was opened but it was still in shrink. Among it were other big 60s rock n roll and folk names, all in good condition but nothing to really write home about.
I bought about 6 records total. So when I got home I pulled out Donovan and slid out the inner sleeve.. to my surprise a plastic bag came from inside of the jacket. When I took it out it was clinging to the record so tightly that I remember I thought water had gotten in it or something. I neverminded it and played some other albums for a bit...but then I opened it up!
At first I was peeling slowly because I thought it was going to be sticky or have some gross surprise waiting for me.. from the outside of the plastic bag, looking in at the LP, all you could see was the jet black of the wax being auctioned against a seemingly wet plastic. As I pulled it out of the plastic sleeve it continued to cling (nice and dry) to the record inside. When I took it out -!!!!! Whoa
There was not a single Mark scratch hair or anything on it. The only thing on the record was my reflection.
The wool sweater I’m wearing attracted some hair particles as the plastic came off which you can see in the pictures but besides that this record is MINT. The wax is untouched. Like literally. I’m even grading it that way. The sleeve is NEAR MINT because a very slight crease the top right of the jacket.
From what I’ve researched this is one of the first US pressings. This is not a promo to my knowledge. 1966 original US release. Please correct me before shipment if possible.
