This is a beautiful debut album - the 'beatnik' beat poet folk music scene was in full bloom and Bob Dylan was the contemporary spearhead artist in the US, but DONOVAN LEITCH had caught the bug in Britain too.
Both were influenced by Woody Guthrie, and Donovan has a sweet playing style that's perfectly matched to these songs. He was quite a good songwriter as well, as many of the tracks are his own compositions.
It's a wonderful record is lovely shape.
Here's the original PYE raspberry red lable STEREO edition.
