Description
Beautiful signed copy of the original 1974 pressing of Doodles Weaver’s Feetlebaum Returns! LP on Fremont Records LRS-M-5074. Weaver was, of course, one of Spike Jones’ City Slickers, and created the famous character Professor Feetlebaum, who was featured on several Spike Jones recordings and his popular radio show. One of the most beloved of the various City Slicker characters. This 1974 self-released LP was his first record since the disbanding of the Spike Jones organization, and features his classic silly recording of the Beatles’ Eleanor Rigby, which Dr. Demento used to play all the time, and which I think he included on one of his wonderful albums. Anyhow it’s a magnificently silly record in just the same mold as those City Slickers records; a real treasure. Signed on the front by the man himself! The disc is just about mint and plays flawlessly, and the cover only has light corner whitening and a very faint ring, but really clean overall. The signature is nice and clear. A top copy, and quite rare now!
