Jim Morrison sings da blooz!!! A truly psychedelic experience, if ever we had one. This album proves that all Jim ever wanted to be was a soul crooner and/or blues shouter!!! I mean, the album is replete with Etta James and John Lee Hooker impersonations and phrases. By 1970 when this masterwork was recorded, long gone were pills, grass , mirth and psychedelic elements.  Nevertheless, in our view this is BY FAR - by leaps and bounds - the best album Doors ever recorded, period!!! Finding a still sealed original copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see.

What else can be said of this Doors masterpiece that hasn't been said over the past 39 years since it was recorded?. Not much, we believe. As we said, to our ears at least , this is the best DOORS studio album the band ever made - and we are sure many of you out there will wholeheartedly agree with our assessment. Classic rock does not get any more classic than this.

(b)          The record is believed to comes in its original Elektra stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
