Jim Morrison sings da blooz!!! A truly psychedelic experience, if ever we had one. This album proves that all Jim ever wanted to be was a soul crooner and/or blues shouter!!! I mean, the album is replete with Etta James and John Lee Hooker impersonations and phrases. By 1970 when this masterwork was recorded, long gone were pills, grass , mirth and psychedelic elements. Nevertheless, in our view this is BY FAR - by leaps and bounds - the best album Doors ever recorded, period!!!

What else can be said of this Doors masterpiece that hasn't been said over the past 35 years since it was recorded?. Not much, we believe. As we said, to our ears at least , this is the best DOORS studio album the band ever made - and we are sure many of you out there will wholeheartedly agree with our assessment. Classic rock does not get any more classic than this.

(b)            The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)             The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)            Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
