Description
This is a NICE CONDITION BUTTERFLY LABEL ORIGINAL 1971 STEREO FIRST PRESSING OF THE 1971 ELEKTRA RECORDS U.S. LP titled 'L.A. Woman', the last studio album featuring the legendary Jim Morrison with The Doors. It is Elektra Records U.S. catalog number EKS-75011, early 1970s Elektra butterfly labels, with its original custom die-cut cover with acetate window and custom yellow inner sleeve with artwork.
Yellow inner sleeve is a darker shade of yellow than shows up in my accompanying image.
2-color burgundy & black varnish-print sleeve, with radius corners and embossed "Doors" text . The front has a cut-out window with clear acetate, on which the band photo is printed black half-tone. The disc is contained in a yellow radius corner liner, which provides a yellow background to the cover image when inserted into the sleeve. The back of the liner has a black-print 'crucifix' image.
1. This issue has the 'Columbus Circle' address on Sleeve back and Labels.
2. This issue does not have the Warner Bros 'W' imprint on the 'butterfly' labels.
3. This issue is a 'Terre Haute' pressing.

- Condition of record is a nice high VG++ with just a very few light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of die-cut cover is VG+ with some wrinkles, a little ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Custom inner sleeve has small split in two edges which I have carefully and neatly repaired with clear tape. This FIRST PRESS LP would be a nice addition to any Doors or classic rock record collection! Media mail postage within the U.S. is $4.00.
