Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Here is one of those super rare and extremely collectible LP`s by one of the '60's earliest Rockabilly/R'n'R singers - Johnny Burnette - on the original black with silver print, ERA label, from 1960. Dorsey Burnette was the younger brother of Johnny Burnette and an original member/founder of the Rock 'N' Roll Trio. The LP is yet another album which is in very good overall condition - both the vinyl and jacket - and one I never thought I'd ever part with, but here it is, so have at it... This super rare, especially in STEREO, album is entitled "Tall Oak Tree", after his huge hit song of the same title. There are 12 great songs in all, including the title song plus, "Big Rock Candy Mountain", "Lucky Old Sun", "Wayward Wind" and others - all in STEREO and all in great condition - please read on for more exact details. I have listed - and will continue to list - many other LP's, EP's and 45's in the weeks and months ahead, so please bookmark my site and check everything out from time to time. Thank you in advance! LABEL INFO: This original ERA Label (ES-700), in STEREO, is extremely nice with no serious issues, although there are a few light spindle lines on either side, indicating the LP has had some play time - but not too much, believe me. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is primarily shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing too much in need of any mention. However, there are just a few extremely light surface and/or paper lines on either side, but nothing too serious, believe me - and they have absolutely no effect on the album's play, or it's appearance. Quite honestly, other than this the vinyl looks perfectly very clean, nice, and close to perfect. JACKET INFO: Finally, the beautiful and colorful jacket is also primarily clean and nice, but not perfect either. There are some slight signs of "aging" along the vertical seam of the backside only and several small scotch tape repairs along various parts of all the seams. These are all quite small and would be easy to remove, although it's my assumption they are there to repair seam splits. Finally, there are a few other small scuff marks along the seam and corner areas - but the all important and beautiful front side looks nearly perfect. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, overall this ultra rare LP is in very nice condition, and it's so very hard to find, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 1000's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
