up for auction is the mega rare 1985 tommy boy 12" promo release of double dee & steinski's lessons 1, 2, & 3! in my opinion, one of the greatest 12" releases ever and on top of this, i'm also including (for free!!!) a copy of grandmaster flash's original sugarhill records 12" release of "the adventures of grandmaster flash on the wheels of steel"! two of the greatest cut & paste extravaganza 12"s ever in one auction! i obtained the double dee & steinski 12" from a fellow dj in the mid to late nineties, who stated that it was played only once or twice. i happened to play it only once, and there are absolutely no scratches, pops, or skips whatsoever. aside some minor sticker residue on the lesson 3 side label, it's unbelievably clean! this is an absolute necessity for any dj collection. here are the track listings:
-SIDE A- the payoff mix (mastermix of G.L.O.B.E. & whiz kid's: "play that beat mr. dj"), lesson two (james brown mix)
-SIDE B- lesson 3 (history of hip hop mix)...
i would definitely not sleep on this one, grab it now while you still can. check out my other auctions for other rarities!

On May-20-05 at 11:42:13 PDT, seller added the following information: ***to the numerous emails i've been receiving, i apologize to every single one i was unable to reply back to, due to my lousy CPU. most of the emails i received asked of the authenticity of the double dee 12". the description i gave above is just what i know on this record, which is obviously very little. i asked my friend again about the authenticity of this 12", and he stated that it might be a U.K. repress from the late nineties, but is unsure as he is merely a dj shop owner, not a collector. i do not show any matrix #s etched into the vinyl, but i do show the word "lessons" on both sides. my guess is that this is probably not an original, but even if this is a re-issue, it's still quite rare. based on what i just wrote, please make your decision wisely...and to the more than 25 watchers out there...bid away...this doesn't come around too often! thanks...
