Doug Hammond - David Durrah Reflections in the Sea of Nurnen Tribe Records LP TRCD 4009, 1975


With Charles Metcalf, Otis Harris, Thomas (Turk) Taylor, Trevis Mickeel, Fredrick Boon and Charles Burnham. Split-free sleeve in slightly worn and aged opened shrink wrap. Rubbing and bumps at right corners with some wear along the opening edge. New paper inner sleeve and clear poly bag provided for added protection. The vinyl is VG MINUS - Side A and GOOD PLUS - Side B. With some surface scuffing and scratches. More so on Side B than Side A. The vinyl plays through without skipping. On Side A there are a few brief passages of noticeable surface noise that never overwhelms the music. There's also occasional traces of faint (less noticeable) surface noise in some of the sparse passages - with a few isolated pops and tics here and there. There is also a more pronounced scratch (can be felt with a finger tip) running across the short second track and the third track on this side. This scratch produces a soft pop once per revolution that fades as it goes along. Side B is in rougher shape with similar sound issues but just to a slightly more noticeable degree. Overall, the vinyl plays and sounds better than the visual appearance would indicate. A decent listening copy of this scarce Tribe release. Low starting bid with no Buy-It-Now or Reserve attached.
