Description
DOUG PARKINSON IN FOCUS RARE Aussie Columbia EP rock prog psych freakbeat UNIQUE TRACK
Doug Parkinson In Focus – Self-titled EP (orig. Australia Columbia MONO SEGO 70188)
Release date: 1970. Recording dates: 1969.
On offer here is an EXTREMELY RARE original issue of the only EP by DOUG PARKINSON IN FOCUS featuring their singles “Dear Prudence” (BEATLES cover) and “Without You”. It also includes an original composition that has only ever appeared on this EP (and a 1996 compilation CD). “Today (I Feel No Pain)” was originally scheduled as the follow-up 45 to “Dear Prudence”, but it never surfaced because EMI deemed the track too uncommercial. It is a highly inventive psychedelic rock number with driving and trippy backwards guitar effects - check out the YouTube link below!

GRADING to follow . . .
On 08-Aug-13 at 13:29:59 AEST, seller added the following information:
GRADING (also refer photos)
Cover:
front: VG(-) matt finish with glossy appearance: insignificant ring-wear impression (inner rim – hard to see), minor creasing (along spine, opening edge, all corners), minor scuffing (along top & bottom seams, opening edge), surface rubbing, 30mm seam split (spine-centre), large surface tear (top-right corner). If not for seam split & surface tear, grading would have been higher (VG+ to VG++).
back: VG+ flipback—matt finish with glossy appearance: light ring-wear (inner rim), minor creasing (along opening edge, three corners), surface rubbing, tiny spot peel (along spine, towards bottom), minor overall discolouration (incl. few tiny spot stains).
Record:
visual: beautiful glossy sheen—some mainly superficial hairlines, certainly no signs of anything significant – seen under strong light (VG++); audible: sounds OK despite some noticeable surface noise & occasional light pops, more evident on side 2 (VG- to VG). DEFINITELY NO JUMPS or SKIPS – played from beginning to end; labels: HARDLY ANY SPINDLE WEAR.
