DOUG RAMSEY white gospel country pedal steel guitar RARE Praise LP 1960's EX/NM Shipping Info Description RARE vintage white gospel steel guitar lp: DOUG RAMSEY - GOSPEL MUSIC'S GREATEST STEEL GUITARIST - Praise Records (Vancouver, BC, Canada), stereo, PRS 124, 10 tracks; no printed date but circa the 1960's - I can't find another copy anywhere online - very scarce! The 19-year-old Ramsey plays a Z-B pedal steel guitar; backing band includes Harold Friend, Smitty Gatlin, Larry David, Joe Thomas, and Dick Todd (lead and rhythm guitar, bass, piano and drums). Back cover says that Ramsey has always loved country and gospel music and is the first full-time pedal steel guitarist in the field of gospel music.
Condition: EX/NM (vinyl is glossy and almost NM but has an inch of groove wear near the beginning of one track - I can't feel it though, and it plays through and sounds EX, NM except for a couple of minimal ticks at that one area; clean labels; the jacket is still in the original cellophane and has just a touch of minimal rubbing to right-hand corners).
