DOUGLAS ADAMS - The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy - 4 VINYL LPs & Cassette Lot This is a small lot of Douglas Adams related audio items. The original radio series and the two LP sets are remarkably different, mostly due to the lack of playing time on the vinyl which caused material to be cut. The music and effects are different and Trillian is voiced by Cindy Oswin on the LP whereas Susan Sheridan voiced Trillian on the cassettes. Valentine Dyall makes an impressive appearance as Deep Thought on the LPs. The cassettes are in excellent condition; the LPs do have some surface noise as they have been played a few times since 1979 (part one) and 1980 (part two), but this is mainly noticeable only on the run-in track. Overall, the LPs are in remarkably good condition given they are some 36 years old. The Lot consists of: The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, part one - a double Vinyl LP with gatefold sleeve Due to the glue ageing, the inner part of the sleeve has separated from the outer part of the sleeve. This has not been repaired, but a little glue will fully restore the sleeve if so desired. The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, part two “The restaurant at the end of the universe” - single Vinyl LP, sleeve in good condition The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy - 6 cassettes The original BBC Radio production on 6 one-hour cassettes The Story of I by Patrick Moraz - single Vinyl LP with Gatefold sleeve in good condition This LP is included as you can hear an extract from it being played over the sub-ether waveband radio as backing music to a news broadcast related to Zaphod on the part one records.
