DOWNLINERS SECT - THE COUNTRY SECT 1965 1st Press VG+ Rare 'Beat' LP on Columbia in fantastic condition, MONO Up for sale here:
Critically acclaimed 60's group the Downliners Sect 2nd LP, the Country Sect. Often held up as first group to truly define the beat ethos these contemporaries of the Rolling Stones & the Yardbirds achieved little commercial success at the time, making any of their original recordings very desirable. Eschewing the obvious R 'n' B route taken by their peers here they take a country music theme and infuse it with driving rhythms and infectious lyrics.

Catalogue no. 33SX 1745 on Columbia records, 1964 UK 1st Press, MONO
Condition: The disc grades as a conservative VG+. Quite a few light marks but nothing that adversely affects playback, a little background noise in places. Labels are clean, with obvious spindle marks, particularly on side 2. Outer sleeve grades as VG+ also, clean and flat, just a few light scuffs and laminate creases on the edges, spine is in good order, with little wear. No rips, tears or writing front or back.
