The above rates include a small handling fee. This covers the cost of materials, the time to pick and package the item(s) securely, and transport to the Post Office. You only pay what it costs but this is NOT just the price of the postage. Emails requesting postage cost breakdowns or even cheaper rates will not receive a reply.
All items are carefully inspected and professionally cleaned on a Keith Monks Record Cleaning machine (as used by the BBC) prior to despatch. Records are shipped in heavy duty industry standard record mailers with additional protection to ensure that they reach you in exactly the condition they were despatched. LPs are removed from both outer sleeve and inner sleeve and placed in a shipping inner and outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. In the unlikely event that you're not completely satisfied with any item simply return it within seven days of receipt in its original condition and packaging for a full no-quibble refund (you must pay the return postage cost).
Despatch:
All items are normally despatched within five working days of receipt of cleared funds. UK buyers paying by cheque please allow at least a further seven days for cheque clearance. For international shipments please also allow time for customs clearance within your country.
Import duties and taxes:
Important notice to buyers located outside of the European Union.
Please note that importing goods from another country can mean that your national Customs authorities may charge you Customs Duty and/or other additional related taxes (for example a Value Added Tax or a Purchase Tax). YOU, as the importer, are responsible for paying any such taxes. We have no control over what taxes you may be charged by your own national tax authorities and we are not responsible for compensating you for payment of any such taxes. If you do not know how much (if any) import tax you might have to pay, please check with your local tax authorities BEFORE bidding on this item.
Some countries prohibit or restrict the importation of some types of goods. You may need a general or special license and/or other documents to import goods. It is your responsibility to check with your national Customs authorities whether the goods you intend to import are subject to any such restrictions. If your goods are retained or confiscated by your own national Customs authorities for any reason, it is your responsibilty alone to negotiate with them the terms on which such goods might be released to you. If your goods are undeliverable for any reason and are returned to us, we reserve the right to reclaim from you any associated costs which may be charged back to us.
The full purchase price will be stated on any Customs forms. Values will not be under-declared, and items will not be marked as a 'gift'.
Payment terms:
In order to minimise the risk of fraud, PayPal will ONLY be accepted as a payment method for sales which have an aggregate value of £150.00 GBP (one hundred and fifty Pounds sterling) or less. This means that if your total invoice value (excluding postage and packing), whether it is for one item or more than one item, exceeds £150.00 GBP (one hundred and fifty Pounds sterling) payment by PayPal will NOT be accepted and any PayPal payment will be treated as non-payment and refunded. Payment of such invoices must be with cleared funds only. This means by a cheque drawn on a UK bank, by bank transfer (IBAN, Swift details available to the winning bidder on request), or by other methods acceptable to both parties. These terms override any other payment options shown elsewhere on this page. By placing a bid for this item you accept that you understand and agree to these terms. Absolutely no exceptions.
I am always interested in buying high quality collections of LPs. If you have a collection to sell please use the 'Ask seller a question' link to send brief details (quantity, type of music with a few examples, and a contact email address) first.
