“THE SECT”
On offer here is a RARE ORIGINAL 1964 UK (Made In Great Britain) Columbia Records Black & Blue label 1st PRESSING 1N/1N MONO issue of this classic 1960s raw R&B / Mod Beat album. The record comes housed in its original front laminated flip-back sleeve complete with original polylined emitex inner sleeve.
A very nice original UK Columbia Records first mono pressing of this brilliant 60s Beat / Mod / R&B album by the justly legendary British band Downliners Sect.

Condition:
Vinyl: VG. The record is in clean, solid and strong VG (Very Good), close to VG+ condition. Both sides play extremely well throughout with clear loud sound despite having a few visual but very superficial light surface marks and fine wispy hairline scratches, mainly seen on side two, which don’t impact on the playing. The record plays great throughout.
Sleeve: VG+. Front laminated flip-back sleeve is in lovely condition with a few laminate creases on the front near the spine. The unlaminated rear is very slightly discoloured with a few age related brown foxing spots and the previous owner has written the catalogue number in blue ink which has slightly faded after 50 plus years. The corners are sharp and the spine is fully legible. There are no splits. The labels are very clean with a few spindle trails.
Emitex Polylined Inner Sleeve: Very Good+ with some light creases but no splits.
Overall a really nice ORIGINAL UK Columbia Records 1st MONO PRESSING of the Downliners Sect debut LP from 1964. Don’t miss it !
