Description
Offered here is a truly great copy of a rare and brilliant album that pretty much ALWAYS turns up trashed. I'm not going to tell you that every copy of every sixties album was hurled around drunken parties and ruined, but for some reason, this particular album is unusually hard to find in nice shape.
I bought this at a record fair some years ago, and was happy to pay slightly over the odds for a nice clean copy, as one had eluded me for years
The lp and the sleeve both grade an EASY VG+ to EX-
The sleeve is bright and uncreased, with only a touch of the browning that normally dominates the rear, unlaminated sleeve area. There is barely any creasing to the laminate, and overall the impression is of a nice, clean copy of a 44 year old lp sleeve that would please even the fussiest collector. There is an initial to the rear of the sleeve, but it doesn't detract from the fact that this is a very nice copy.
The lp itself is also in great shape- there are light sleeve removal marks, and the odd hairline, but NO groovewear, and nothing that affects the play beyond a little crackle in the silent grooves, and maybe the odd very light pop here or there. I've also got a copy of this album in 'just about g' condition, and that also plays GREAT- it's a monster of a pressing, on heavy vinyl. I can't imagine a totally unplayed copy sounds appreciably better than this. The pictures and the soundclip tell it like it is- light marks, nothing that affects the sound of this garage mayhem! The labels have initials on, both sides- but I only just noticed as they are biro on black, and hardly stand out.
Listen to the album!
