Description

DR. JOHN - "In the Right Place" SIGNED LP - Original Pressing
Record - EX+ .  Looks and plays very clean indeed. This record has been coddled it's entire life. Cover - EX.  This is a trifold cover and you just wrap the record inside it.
Signed by the Nite Tripper himself.  I don't have an authentication but i've been around long enough to know a fake.  Also, it's signed in ball point pen which would be period accurate. The inscription reads: "To Tracy.  Keep on Keepin ON. Dr John The Nite Tripper ".  And then a drawing of a little piano.
Even if your name isn't "Tracy" it'd still be worth framing.
You hit the jackpot for an incredible-sounding copy! Having George Piros (AT/GP) on Side B means you have a sought-after "dual-engineer" split pressing. The Sound Profile of Your LP:

  • Side A (AT/DK - Dennis King): King’s cuts are known for being crisp, punchy, and highly detailed. It delivers a great, tight punch for the opening title track "In the Right Place."
  • Side B (AT/GP - George Piros): Piros was Atlantic’s master of low-end and dynamic range. His cuts are legendary among audiophiles for their massive bass, wide soundstage, and "hot" (loud but clean) mastering. Side B contains "Such a Night," and Piros's touch makes the rhythm section sound incredible.
Because Atlantic Studios was constantly cutting new lacquers to keep up with this album's massive 1973 success, pressing plants like Presswell frequently mixed and matched Side A and Side B masterings depending on which metal stampers were available on the line that day.
Thanks for looking.  No Overseas shipping.
