Description

This is an auction for a rare LP by, DR. Strangely Strange, Heavy Petting.

This was released by Vertigo Records in 1970 and has catalogue number 6360009. This is the 1st press with a swirl label, please check the pictures for clarification.

Condition: The gatefold sleeve suffers from some discolour marks and buffing to the edges and corners. There is also a scuff mark seen on the front wear tape has been removed and removed some of the picture and a 1 inch tear to the gatefold flap edge. Please check the pictures for clarification. Both attatched flaps are fine with the hinges not worn through. Graded at VG.

This comes with its original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve that has some discolouring marks and creases, no edge splits.

Both labels look clean, under closer examination some tiny spider spindle trails can be seen on each side, there are also a few light finger marks or tiny spots. The centre hole is fine and shows only a mere touch of wear.

The vinyl retains its new shine, only when tilted under a strong light can a few tiny hairline scratches be seen, in normal light it looks immaculate. I have of course test played this through both sides.

Quiet entries and breaks, fine audio through out both sides. The music itself plays strong with no distortion, dragging or fading heard whatsoever. The above mentioned hairline scratches are completely non-audible. Only on the last track of each side did I hear a tiny amount of feckling, probably caused by dust, otherwise other than the very occasional very quiet crackle this plays as new. This does not suffer any reduction in quality through wear despite being quite well played.

Playing with very little lessening in sound quality and graded at a strict VG+. Down-graded because it has been played more than a few times and for the few feather scratches, certainly near mint audio.

A worthy addition to any collection.
