DR STRANGELY STRANGE - HEAVY PETTING.
1970 UK original stereo LP on Vertigo swirl label. This is a first pressing of this rarity and has the earliest matrix numbers which are correctly machine stamped. Catalogue number 6360009. Matrix numbers - side one: 6360009 1Y//1 111 side two: 6360009 2Y//1 111 Die cut gimmix sleeve with swirl inner sleeve.
RECORD CONDITION: EXCELLENT. I noted two very light hairline scratches on side one which do not affect playback, otherwise there are just light traces of the record having been removed from it's inner sleeve. The labels on both sides are bright and clean with no writing or tears.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The unlaminated gimmix sleeve has fold out sections which are highly susceptible to damage. This copy has survived remarkably well and is clean and bright with no marks or writing, showing only very minor signs of wear. There is some light creasing to the corners and minor rubbing to the bottom edge of the sleeve. I noted a small tear approximately 5mm in length in one of the fold out sections which can be seen in the close up photograph and also a small area of black print loss on the inside of the right fold out section which again can be seen in one of the photographs. This does not detract very much from an otherwise fine example of one of the rarer Vertigo swirls.
AUDIO GRADING: I play grade records fully using a high quality moving coil cartridge. This LP plays superbly with strong, distortion free sound. Records are graded to Record Collector Grading System definitions.
PACKING: All records are cleaned on a professional quality record cleaning machine and placed into a new poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner will be included. Record covers are put into a pvc outer sleeve and the record removed from the cover to prevent seam splits. The record will be posted in a new cruciform record box with additional stiffeners.
