STRICT CONDITION GRADINGS (Goldmine Standard):
COLLECTOR'S NOTE – NEAR MINT POTENTIAL:
Please note that while this complete set is strictly and conservatively graded as EX+ (Excellent Plus) to adhere to strict Goldmine standards, it is incredibly close to Near Mint (NM) condition. Both the vinyl and the extremely fragile sleeve have been preserved in a breathtaking state over the last 50+ years. This is a true archive-quality specimen that will satisfy even the most demanding Vertigo Swirl collectors.
Vinyl Condition: EX+ (Excellent Plus)
The vinyl retains its stunning, brilliant factory gloss. Under intense direct light, it shows only a couple of faint, microscopic paper scuffs/hairlines from sleeve removal, with absolutely no deep scratches. The record plays beautifully with a clear, loud, and dynamic soundstage. Audio performance is superb, with minimal, occasional ambient dust-crackle typical of 1971 pressings, but no persistent surface noise, clicks, or skips. The iconic Vertigo Swirl labels are incredibly clean with very faint spindle trails.
Sleeve Condition: EX+ (Excellent Plus)
The notoriously fragile, Barney Bubbles-designed die-cut fold-out sleeve is in marvellous condition. The textured cardboard remains stiff, clean, and vibrant. All intricate die-cut tabs and flaps hook together perfectly as intended, completely free of tears or structural damage. The spine is completely straight, rigid, and fully legible. There is only the slightest, inevitable minor shelf-wear/rubbing to the sharpest corners and minimal age-toning, keeping it firmly in EX+ condition.
Inner Sleeve: EX+ (Excellent Plus)
Includes the original British-made Vertigo Swirl inner paper sleeve, clean and intact with no major splits or heavy creasing.
