THE DRIVING STUPID-45-“Horror Asparagus Stories” b/w “The Reality Of (Air) Fried Borsk”-KR Records #kr-0116-Deranged 1966 Chicago, IL Garage-Punk=PUNKADELIC...Really acid-laced Garage-Punk-Most of you probably are familiar with this fantastic dementia! If not, A side is hard to define-flipped out lyrics like “My father was a big old toad....my sister was a crummy witch...” and so on...really shouted/gutteral lead vocal with sarcastic back-up vocals...guitar and organ dominated, with an off-key out of tune fuzz lead guitar break... B side is KILLER...despite the cryptic title this is strictly a sloppy, out-of-tune “I’m A Man” riff with gutteral, over the edge nearly shouted lead vocals; also a really primitive lead guitar break...the combination of dementia, the overall sloppy approach and savage overtones make this PUNKADELIC! Dynamite deranged stuff! Condition: Record is MINT-Minus, has a very light, slight slow warp-really not a warp if you know what I mean...beautiful copy...
