DROITWICH HIGH SCHOOL BLUES BAND -WHAT IS THERE TO SAY,
RARE HOLLICK & TAYLOR UK PRIVATE PRESSING 1977 LP ON LOCAL BIRMINGHAM LABEL
Original LP with fold-out lyric insert. Grades EX/EX
This LP is listed in the HANS POKORA guide, which is described as a kaleidoscopic overview of the rarest and most expensive collectable albums from all over the world. An indispensable book for all serious collectors of 60s and 70s rare records.
The music on this LP varies between Rock, Acid-Folk, Psych, Blues and Jazz with a side-long concept piece 'The Homecoming Of Ulysses' composed by Drama Master, D. Paget and Music Master, Lewis Riley. The interesting diverse tracks include a cover of Frank Zappa's 'Son of Mr Green Genes' and 'Theme from Shaft' and self-composed, funky 'Blues Band Blues' and there are male and female vocals. Overall it is a very accomplished effort.

Unlaminated white single sleeve is EXCELLENT with minor signs of yellowing at the edges, which is normal with white covers of that age. No writing, tears or splits and the spine is firm (made without text).
Disk is shiny with no obvious markings and looks/sounds NEAR MINT.
Labels are clean and fresh with a couple of spindle marks each side so we'd grade EXCELLENT.
The inner sleeve is original and white die-cut, saying 'MADE IN ENGLAND R.S. 8-77'
The lyric insert is EXCELLENT. Evidence of handling but no writing, tears or splits.
An unusual, collectable rare record, rarely available as it was issued in small quantity.
