(EMIdisc, no cat code) 1967?
Here’s a possibly unique opportunity to buy an unreleased album by Druid Chase. As psych fans will know, the only disc Druid Chase issued was the sitar-tinged Take Me In Your Garden, which appeared in November 1967 (and is included here in a completely different version). This is in more of a jazzy pop vein, and clearly features top-class musicians. Please note that I am selling this 'as is', and - as with all the acetates I have ever sold - I will not accept returns.
SLEEVE
The disc comes in a front-laminated flipback sleeve from London's Advision Studios. Upside down in the lower left hand corner is written 'The Druid Chase / Promotional Copy / Fine Brown Frame'. This was presumably the proposed title for the album.
DISC
I'm sure you're all well aware of how fragile acetates are, meaning that normal grading standards can't apply. This one is glossy with light marks, and plays with a moderate amount of surface noise. There are signs of wear to the lacquer at the start of what I assume is side two, but it does not render it unplayable. I have played the disc once and it didn't stick at all, but did jump a couple of times. However, you may well be able to obtain a different result by adjusting your tone-arm. The LP comes in a standard plain polylined EMI inner sleeve.
