Collector’s Edition, 2 x LP-SET NO. 3303 by Dynamite/Real Free Press Int. Foundation in 1979. LP's are in mint condition with factory shrink wrap still on cover, but obviously opened along one side. The LP's have been rarely played and have been properly sound checked.
Ducks Deluxe final performance recorded at London’s 100 Club on July 1st 1975. Rough & ready recording made on a basic two-track tape recorder. But if you want a taste of what made them such a great band, this album will tell you all you need to know. Formed in 1972, the English Pub Rock Band of the 70’s, called “The Ducks” by their fans, were known for their up-tempo, energetic performances. They had a strong following with a twice weekly booking at the Tally Ho in Kentish Town.
In this final performance they stormed through a set of mostly classic rock covers (featuring a couple each from Dylan & the Stones) as well as several Ducks originals. During the final burst of songs, a steady stream of guests came on stage to say their own goodbyes to the band – Lee Brilleaux, Martin Stone, Bob Andrews & Nick Lowe.
After the group disbanded, Brinsley Schwarz, & Martin Belmont, together with Bob Andrews went on to form The Rumour and teamed up with Graham Parker. Ex Ducks Nick Garvey & Andy McMaster formed The Motors and Sean Tyla went on to form Tyla Gang.
