DUKE ELLINGTON'S LIBERIAN SUITE MEGA RARE UK ISSUE
PHILIPS LABEL ORIGINAL 1953 FIRST UK PRESSING WITH FULLY LAMINATED FLIP BACK SINGLE SLEEVE, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND VERY GOOD SLEEVE. SO RARE TO FIND AS A UK PRESSING.

On the first issue black & silver PHILIPS label, I'm offering this rare original and mega rare heavy first UK pressing of this 10" classic jazz album by DUKE ELLINGTON titled "DUKE ELLINGTON'S LIBERIAN SUITE" This rare PHILIPS issue was released in the UK in 1953 four years after it got its US release.
The vinyl for its 62 years is in excellent condition. Not an album that you see too often especially as a UK issue as most of these did not survive. This is a really nice example in excellent condition. No others have been sold on ebay for 5 years.
The labels tho showing virtually no spindle traces do show some age spotting.
The album comes with its original flimsy fully laminated circular flip back single sleeve is a very good presentable example. It has some laminate lifting to the back panel and and the opening is somewhat splayed otherwise in clean condition. Needless to say there are no splits, stickers or unwanted writing etc and the spine is fully legible.
Still bearing in mind this album is 62 years old you may not get a chance of another. None for sale anywhere on the web.
A great addition to any serious jazz collection.

The VINYL, The first issue heavy vinyl visually looks barely played and it plays through with excellent audio.
The SLEEVE, The flimsy fully laminated flip back single sleeve is very good. It is clean and free from splits or unwanted writing etc but shows laminate lifting to the back and the opening is splayed.
The LABELS, The labels are very clean, showing no spindle traces but show age spotting. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The original paper wrap around inner is clean and free from any unwanted writing etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
