A lovely condition copy of this 1971 UK 1st press folk/rock gem with wonderful sound quality throughout and highly presentable iconic and original gatefold sleeve

Rare and highly collectible 1971 UK 1st press folk/rock gem.  Gleaming, truly excellent - at least - condition vinyl  retaining a gorgeous jet black sheen with both sides of the vinyl coming across as completely unmarked in normal daylight. Closer inspection under a bright light reveals just a couple of extremely wispy fine hairlines and equally faint paper scuffs - barely detectable and seemingly purely superficial.  Each label is excellent plus (EX+) with all text and the iconic NEPENTHA logo remaining perfectly intact, with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails on each label.  The non-laminated original outer gatefold sleeve is in very good plus (VG+) condition with firm edges including a rigid spine with all spine text remaining nicely intact. There is some mild intermittent scuffing on each of the top and bottom edges and a little rubbing on each of the corners though they do remain nicely defined right angles. There are two small marks towards the top right hand corner on the front side where presumably stickers were once located and on the reverse side some mild ring wear towards the top and bottom edges is in evidence. The inside of the gatefold is excellent with just some very light handling/storage abrasions towards the edges - very trivial. Notwithstanding the aforementioned mild blemishes all colours, art work, text, and photos remain impressively intact with rich vibrancy and crystal clear, crisp definition.  Superb excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no skips, repeats, jumps, distortion, or obvious clicks (I just noticed x2 very background clicks on A6 but close inspection of the vinyl revealed no obvious cause) and I noticed no background crackle/interference at all. Every track is exquisite with crystal clear tone and vocals...such an underrated album with a number of true highlights.  Comes complete with original and excellent (EX) condition "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS" inner sleeve, with no side splits, tears, or edge fraying - just the hint of some very minor creasing and slight age discolouration towards the top edge.

A brilliant album, so underrated and why it never sold in larger quantities I will never know, which now makes these UK 1st pressings so desirable.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
