For your consideration – Duran Duran’s Red Carpet Massacre on vinyl – no 0476 of 2000…
…&, as you’d expect from a Duran collector selling a copy, it’s still sealed & in top condition; having been carefully stored since it arrived to me, back in the day.
Whilst the £170 start might seem pricey, the cheapest one I can see for sale elsewhere atm is on Discogs for fractionally under £200 - though, tbh, I really don’t care if this doesn’t sell, as it’ll only increase in value when DD14 is finally released & they go back on the road (we all know how prices for Duran stuff fluctuate) & I’ll just keep it in the collection.
So there’s going to be no relisting at lower & lower prices – just a one-off listing for the foreseeable future, that you can either take or leave; as clearing £150 (after eBay & PayPal have taken their cut) would be handy, but I simply don’t need some cash that desperately.
Postage is the actual shipping cost + 11% (having discovered that eBay’s now stealing 10% of the postage), with it fully insured (to £250) & tracked… …but ‘if’ anyone were to want it sent insured for less (with a lower value stated) then I will only be liable for loss/damage up to the lower amount.
Similarly, if you’re in the UK & ONLY pay the £4.78 listed, it ONLY be insured for £26 – eBay just will not allow both a ‘heavy & bulky’ item, to remove the £7 max, & international shipping… It’s just impossible to send a double album for £7 via the Royal Mail with enough insurance.
Well I want you to have surety that you’ll either get it in superb condition or we’ll be able to claim compensation – but if you want to save money & the postmen & women decide, in their wisdom, to hit it with sticks or throw it down a well or lose it in a tree playing frisbee or something equally foolish, that’d be your decision.
