ITEM: Offered for your consideration and purchase is this two record set of 16" transcription disc recordings for the 50th anniversary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in 1949. The records (part 1 and part 2) are only recorded on one side are are in a sleeve back to back. They appear in excellent cosmetic condition and we do not see any scratches or similar issues but since playing of 16" transcription discs requires special turntable equipment which we do not have access to please know that we have NOT been able to listen to the recordings and so do not even know what the content is or whether such is music, speech, or a combination of the two. These records are being sold strictly AS FOUND, AS DESCRIBED, AS IS, and as cosmetically acceptable and collectible historical display items.

CONDITION: Unless otherwise mentioned above or herein, this item or items is/are in excellent pre-owned antique or vintage condition and is/are free from dings, dents, chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, stains or discoloration, heavy scratches, repairs, or other significant issues of mention.

Shipping

We properly cushion and box all items for safe USPS mailing and we absorb all costs for boxes and packing or cushioning materials, standard delivery confirmation service and loss or damage insurance (although we do reserve the right to self-insure low value packages).  A delivery confirmation signature will be required on packages valued above $749.99; or may, at our discretion and expense, be required on any lower valued package.

THIS LISTING DOES NOT OFFER FREE SHIPPING and you will be invoiced for the flat price quoted herewith, or if a specific USPS service and/or flat rate is not shown, then for the eBay calculated postage price as shown for USPS Economy (parcel select) shipping to the USPS Zip Code® which you've provided to eBay and which was used for that calculation. To be eligible for the quoted flat rate or calculated shipping cost, the FINAL delivery of a package MUST be at an address having the same first three numbers of that USPS Zip Code®. At our discretion, and depending on destination or actual package size or weight, we MAY elect to provide a faster delivery service (such as first-class package, priority or express mail) - but at no additional cost to you.

LIGHT and BULKY PACKAGES exceeding 1 cubic foot: If sufficient cushioning and protective packaging requires the use of a box measuring more than 1728 cubic inches (for example, a box larger than 12" x 12" x 12") then the calculated shipping cost being shown by eBay has been based on the actual packaged weight or the USPS calculated dimensional weight formula (whichever is greater). The USPS light and bulky dimensional weight penalty does not apply in instances where we have provided a flat shipping charge OR if we are able to safely ship your purchase in a box measuring 1728 or less cubic inches (in which case the eBay calculated shipping charge will have been based on the actual gross packaged weight).

HANDLING CHARGE: In an attempt to remain profitable, a handling charge (to offset the commission fees which eBay and PayPal assess against the postage costs sellers pass along to buyers - as well as a a small amount to partially cover expenses for proper cushioning and packing materials) is included in all calculated shipping quotes. OUR handling charge is 50 cents per pound subject to a minimum handling charge of $2.50. The separate handling charge is not calculated or assessed when you are shown a flat rate (such as when packages are small and sent by first-class postal service); although a small amount has indeed been incorporated into the flat rate shipping charge.

COMBINED PURCHASES: Because we sell a variety of items from different categories, many of which are fragile and/or light and bulky in nature, neither we or eBay can automatically calculate what the costs may be for combining two or more purchases into a single shipping container. If you purchase more than one item which will be concurrently shipped you will be invoiced by eBay for the flat and/or calculated shipping costs on each item as if it were sold and shipped separately. If we are able to safely package both or all of your items into a single package there is some likelihood of postage savings. In such instances we will determine the actual postage costs plus the above mentioned handling fee based on the total or dimensional weight and IF your over payment turns out to be $1.00 or more then we will automatically refund the overcharge. Due to the USPS light and bulky (dimensional weight) rules it is entirely possible in some instances that the least expensive shipping option is to NOT combine but rather to pack and ship in separate boxes which do not exceed 1728 cubic inches as the dimensional weight penalty CAN be quite severe when larger boxes are used for rather light weight merchandise. Notwithstanding any of this, the safe and intact delivery of your items is our primary objective and we will always ensure you get the best deal you are entitled to - without ever skimping on cushioning or package size.

Any item picked up from (or delivered by) us locally is excluded from any stated shipping charges. Mutually agreed arrangements for any local pickup or delivery must be made in advance.
