Description
DVORAK / KUBELIK / PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA - " NEW WORLD SYMPHONY (SYMPHONY NO.5 IN E MINOR ", The Decca Record Company Ltd (SXL 2005) Stereo, 1958.
Very rare, 1958, English 1st pressing Decca LP with the "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" label text on a wideband, grooved label.
Pressed in England.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).
CONDITION:
VINYL = V.G.++ (No deep scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only the lightest spindle trails, etc. Under a bright grading lamp I can make out some paper scuffs and some much more obvious marks on the vinyl - although these are not deep despite their ugliness and on my hifi at least, they are just cosmetic flaws which don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, despite these visual defects mentioned it's playing better than expected - there is a bit of sporadic faint surface noise and occasional crackle as the record plays through. More noticeable in quiet sections of course and definitely not severe enough to ruin the whole listening experience, but fair to point and so bidders can place there max bids bearing this in mind.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = VG+ (No rips, tears, defacing, etc. But marked down for light wear to the edges and corners, small creases along the spine and various bits of delamonation, either eminating from creases or as a mottled delamination on the face. The back is definitely no longer a bright white either - see photos for further clarification)
