This 1961 original press is generally considered to be one of the best recordings of Dvorak's New World Symphony ever to be recorded to vinyl.
Recorded by Istvan Kertesz with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 1961 this is the defining work of Dvorak's New World Symphony no. 5.
This is the original 1961 orange DECCA label press with catalogue number LXT5652, and is the MONO equivalent to the very expensive 1961 STEREO black label DECCA SXL2289
Made in England this is an 1961 original press on the orange/silver Decca label.
It comes in a laminated gatefold cover and includes its original British patented poly lined inner sleeve.
The disc sits inside the centre flap of the opened cover.
The catalogue number is LXT5652.
The disc is in strong VG condition. It some light non feelable superficial trace lines mainly from the record being taken in and out of the inner sleeve. One label has a small mark at bottom.
The cover is in VG condition with some light agewear.
