Mike Chapman "Dyna Mite" demo for The Sweet or Mud

"Dyna Mite" one sided Emidisc acetate, sounds like a demo with electric guitar, tambourine, drum and vocals + backing vocals for the Mud single probably played and sung by Mike Chapman. According to various sources this was originally written as a single for The Sweet but it was rejected. This could be the rejected demo as it was found with a number of other Sweet acetates.

I have a number of other Mike Chapman Emidisc acetate demos for sale including Wig-Wham Bam, Block Buster and Hell Raiser which will be listed as separate auctions. 

Not 100% sure if there are any members of Mud or Sweet on the demo but hard to tell. Chapman recorded a number of demos for songs he had written for Sweet, Mud and other Chinn-Chapman acts. Very rare item, have searched for any other known copies sold in the past and have drawn a blank.

Very good condition for an acetate with minor background noise. As you may be aware these were pressed in very limited numbers (Often 4 maximum) and were not designed for multiple plays or for pristine sound quality like test pressings.

 All my records are sent out in high quality thick card mailers just 1-2days after I receive payment.  I grade records as carefully as I can using the Record Collector UK Grading System.

I use the UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' gradings which are as follows:

• MINT - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as SEALED or UNPLAYED should be MINT.

• EXCELLENT - The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

• VERY GOOD - The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without major defects is acceptable.

• GOOD - The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
• FAIR - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, etc. The covera and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

For UK I prefer Cheques or Postal Orders (Made Payable to Green Hornet Ltd). Cheques will take up to 7 days to clear after auction end. Postal Orders (UK Only) Blank or payable to Green Hornet Ltd.  I also accept Paypal.
