Description
DYS "Department of Youth Services" "Brotherhood" LP on X-CLaim records ( X-claim No. 4). A Boston HC Classic! This is one of the hardest of the six Exclaim records to find, a definitive stab of early Hardcore style with classic tracks from the same scene as JERRY'S KIDS, FU'S, SS DECONTROL (SSD) and more. These songs are replicated on the Wolfpack LP or "fire and Ice" Taang CD but this is the original K-Disc hot mastering and sounds way powerful as originally released, this is the total Hardcore attack of the band, not the later metal stuff.
Features Dave Smalley who later played in DAG NASTY, ALL, DOWN BY LAW and future members of SLAPSHOT. Tracks: Open Up/ More than Fashion/ Circle Storm/ City to City / (the gilr's Got) limits / Bortherhood / Yellow/ stand proud/ Insurance Risk/ Escape.
This copy is in low medium/high "good play copy" grade, there's a coffee stain /water damage on the lower right hand corner of the cover, You can see this on the scan of the back cover. there's also a minor flex/stain on the inner b-side label. I would highly recommend drinking a pot of coffee before putting this record on anyway!!! and turning it way up!The cover also has a few creases,mostly minor. The Lyric sheet is a repo/ xerox copy of the original, and the vinyl has wear, there's audible pops but no skips, it's definitely been around the turntable a few times and has signs of wear but plays fine.
