Description
Original UK tan & blue ATCO labels stereo 1st press. The band that started Elkie Brooks, Pete Gage & Robert Palmer's careers and later morphed into Vinegar Joe in 1971, this is the first pressing with the earliest 1-1-1 stampers and A//1 B//1 matrices of the first few hundred copies pressed in 1970!The MacNeill Press matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light storage & edge wear and discolouration on the cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the company inner is intact & in VG+ condition.
The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, with some brief background noise during the run in grooves and a really great loud & punchy listen!! The matrix nos. are; 2400030, A//1 mother stamper 1-1-1, B//1 mother stamper 1-1-1. This is one of earliest first few hundred copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1970 album!!All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!!
